Blazers F Batum to have shoulder surgery

Portland Trail Blazers forward Nicolas Batum will have surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder, the team announced on Monday.
The surgery will be performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache on Friday in Los Angeles at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic and a timeline for Batum's return will be made following surgery.
In his rookie campaign last season, he average 5.4 points and 2.8 rebounds in 79 games, which included 76 starts.
