The Minnesota Timberwolves waived veteran guard Chucky Atkins on Tuesday.

The 10-year NBA veteran was acquired by Minnesota as part of a trade with Oklahoma City on July 27. In 18 games with the Thunder last year, Atkins averaged 3.0 points and 1.7 assists.

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound guard has averaged 10.2 points and 3.5 assists in 655 career games with the Magic, Pistons, Celtics, Lakers, Wizards, Grizzlies, Nuggets, and Thunder.
