Miami Heat forwards Michael Beasley and Udonis Haslem practiced Thursday after sitting out with injuries, but they are questionable for Sunday's preseason opener against Detroit.
Haslem, recovering from a sprained foot, worked out extensively for the first time since training camp opened Saturday. But he said after the Heat's morning practice at AmericanAirlines Arena that he has not yet received clearance from team doctors to play in games.
Beasley, the second overall draft pick, had been slowed by a left groin strain since Monday. He not only finished Thursday's practice, but also stayed on the court afterward for an extended offensive workout session.
Beasley said he didn't believe he had fallen too far behind after missing some of the twice-daily practices.
''I think I got my legs back,'' Beasley said. ``I felt good. I know the plays. There's still some stuff I have to brush up on. If it was up to me, yes, I'm going to play. I'm ready.''
Haslem, who injured his foot during a workout before training camp, said he would meet with team physician Harlan Selesnick after Thursday's afternoon practice.
''I felt good today -- but there was a little soreness,'' Haslem said. ``I think that will go away. Rushing it is probably not the best thing to do.''
