Former Heat center Alonzo Mourning and wife Tracy welcomed their third child when Alijah Harden Mourning was born at 4:28 p.m. Friday.

Alijah, a boy, weighed eight pounds and was 20 inches long. The Heat's scouting department reported he has big feet, big hands and a lot of hair.

The name is pronounced similar to Elijah, but the Mournings chose the unique spelling so that the baby would have the same initials (AHM) as Alonzo and eldest son Alonzo ``Trey'' Mourning III, a Heat ballboy.

Mourning was honored with a community service achievement award by the Basketball Hall of Fame but skipped the induction ceremonies to prepare for the birth.
