BRONCOS (9-3) at RAIDERS (3-9)

Line: DEN by 10 1/2.

Cote’s pick: DEN 34-16.

Time/TV: 8:20 p.m. Thursday, NFL Network.

• Week 14 kicks off with what appears to be a monumental Stink Bomb of a game. Gas masks should be supplied. Denver has won an NFL-best seven straight games and Oakland has lost five in a row. Peyton Manning had his way (338 yards, three TDs) as the Broncos won the first meeting 37-6 in Week 4, and little suggests much has changed. Denver is one of four teams that has already clinched a playoff spot but fights to earn a first-round bye. Meantime, horrid defense sends the mathematically eliminated Raiders careening to a 10th straight season out of the playoffs, a team grasping for the ripcord on a chute that will not open.
