Manny Navarro started working for The Miami Herald as an editorial assistant in 1995. A graduate of Braddock High (Class of 1996), he studied print journalism at Florida International University. Manny was the Herald's Miami-Dade County high school beat writer between the 2002-2006 seasons. He currently covers University of Miami football and basketball as well as recruiting news.

George Richards is a native Miamian who attended Florida International University and has been at The Herald since his days roaming the halls of Cooper City High. Richards has covered everything from the Rose Bowl to the Super Bowl, from the World Series to state basketball in Lakeland and everything, it seems, in between. Richards has been the Panthers beat writer since the 2004-05 season that never was, and is excited to finally see some pucks hit the ice.

Jeff Darlington has covered sports in Florida - including college football and the NFL - since 2000. Currently the South Florida representative of the Pro Football Writers Association, Jeff began covering the Dolphins before the 2005 season. He previously wrote about the football and men's basketball programs at the University of Florida. Jeff also is a graduate of UF.

Joseph Goodman covers the Miami Heat for the Miami Herald. A graduate of the University of Alabama-Birmingham, Joseph studied journalism and English. He began working for The Herald in 2005 as a high school sports reporter in Broward County. Joseph previously covered the Florida Gators for The Miami Herald.

Dan Le Batard joined The Herald back in 1990 and is a graduate from the University of Miami. Recognized as one of the top sports columnists today, Dan has covered several of sports' top events and is also a regular correspondent for ESPN. Jim Varsallone is the youth sports coordinator and pro wrestling editor for the Miami Herald. Jim has been with the Herald for 13 years and has also written for Wrestling Digest, Total Wrestling, and WOW magazines.
