Dr. Carlos Wolf has been working in the field of plastic surgery for more than 20 years. Although he's a facial plastic surgeon and limits his Miami practice to surgical and nonsurgical treatments of the face, he works with Dr. Brad Herman and Dr. Michael Kelly who are both plastic surgeons. Therefore, all questions pertaining to plastic surgery will be entertained. No topic will be too small (torn ear lobes) or too big (breast augmentation).

A: Yes you can but I do not recommend you do both at the same time.

Q: Hi, In 1973 I had a vertical C-Section, 18 months later a horizontal one. In the late 80's I had a Tummy Tuck to remove a hernia and old scar tissue. Twenty years & 20 pounds later, I've had irritation in the lower scar area. Is it possible to remove the scars completely? If so, I have no insurance; how costly would procedure be? And what would be my downtime? What do you recommend? Thank you for this forum!

Q: Dr. Wolf I got a mole removed from my face one month ago, and I still have a scar. The mole was located in between my eyes so I'm afraid it will not go away completely. I would like to know if there is a procedure that can be done in order to remove the scar completely. Thank You

A: I would have to see the scar before I can tell you that. If you want to send a photo I can look at it.(cwolf@miamiplasticsurgery.com) Make sure you put sunscreen and if possible avoid the sum . I would also recommend you see your surgeon to see what is their suggestion is. Good Luck

Q: hi dear doctor, i have done lip injection in 2002 in russia,doctor said it is collagen injection,after wile it became bumpy.,and i had facial with some japanies machin,and it has ultrafiolet lights,and ultra farez.after i notice a litlle bit reduction,and ducky look has a bit reduced.could you tell me what kind of filler it was,as a doctor who has done keeps telling me it was colagen and dont remeber.and is it possible to dissolve it? please help me with unswear.thank you very much.parvin

Q: Dr,hace muchos meses estoy esperando su respuesta y no lo e logrado.Es hacerca de mi hija por favor respondame.Yo le habia preguntado qe debo hacer para corregir el problema de su seno derecho que cada vez esta mas grande que el otro, no es normal y su Dr no me dice nada concreto solo qe espere.qe eso se corrige solo,eso me dijo cuando ella desarrollo a los 13 anos.y ya casi tiene 16.y su seno no para de crecer.Gracias.

A: Debes de ver un especialista de senos. Es posible que las hormonas le esta haciendo eso. Despues que pare cresiendo se puede operar. Primero se debe ver para estar seguro que ne es nada malo. Saludes.

Q: Please tell me what ,if any, nonsurgical treatments are there for malar bags...I understand they are difficult to treat and mostly due to edema in the upper cheek area...any suggestions are success with these????

A: You are correct, they are difficult to correct! You can try Thermage to reduce the bags. You can also try to have steroid injected directly into the bags, but you should be very careful to do it with someone that has done it frequently as there are subtle ways to correct these. The steroid injection may cause the swelling to form an indentation. Good luck

Q: Tuve una cirugia de cesaria de emergencia hace 18 meses, la hicieron vertical y quedo una cicatriz horrible, quisiera que usted por favor me ayudara a aclarar: 1. Esa cicatriz se puede operar para quitarla? 2. Cuanto tiempo deberia esperar para embarazarme nuevamente despues de la cirugia. Gracias

A: Before you have any surgery you should have a complete evaluation. If your cardiologist feels that you have no added risk and that your able to undergo surgery then you should do fine. I would definitely check with your surgeon and cardiologist before undergoing surgery. Even with a complete surgery there are always risk.!

A: Para el problema que tienes me parece que el Botox seria la mejor cosa. Hay un nuevo clase de Botox que va salir en Junio o Julio que se llama Dysport.. Buena suerte

Q: Hi Dr. Wolf, I have a 16 year old daughter. She is 5 feet tall and is already a double D in breast size. She suffers from back pain and just doesn't feel confortable. She already wants to get a reduction. At what age can she have this done and are there any new procedure to reduce scarring? Thank you

A: Sorry for the delay in answering your question.If she is already having trouble she may undergo this type of surgery at her age. There are newer techniques that decrease the amount of scars and make it easier to recover from. You can contact either Drs Herman and Kelly at 305-595-2969 and they can answer some more specific questions about your daughter. Good luck
