Q: DO YOU THINK BOOKER T. CAN WIN TWO STATE TITLES BACK TO BACK N WHY? IF NORTHWESTERN N BOOKER T PPLAY NEXT YEAR WHO DO YOU THINK WILL COME OUT WITH THE VICTORY?

Answered 12/03/08 13:59:53 by High School Sports Beat Writer

A: I don't think they have enough to match size and speed with Armwood this year if they even get past Dwyer Friday. And next year Northwestern returns a loaded squad, while Booker T. returns most of its squad, but the school's population has dropped, which means it will make it tougher to sustain a strong team.

Q: WILL THE CENTRAL VS NORTHWESTERN GAME BE TELEVISED?

Answered 12/03/08 13:42:32 by High School Sports Beat Writer

A: It was not.

Q: The past couple of years Central wasnt been able to pass Northwestern in the 2nd round; I see that you guys have Central the favorite. Now that they got Teddy as the starter, do you think that Central still have a chance?

Answered 12/03/08 13:42:07 by High School Sports Beat Writer

A: Teddy has made a huge difference in that offense.

Q: I am a die-heart Bull Fan... and I honestly don't feel we'll have too much of a struggle with Central this 2nd time around. If you saw the Columbus game, our defense was on it and our offfense played at its best of the whole season. Honestly, that loss against Central was most likely a wake-up call letting us know that we may be at the top but even the top dog must fight to stay on top. What do you think the real out come of the NW CENTRAL 2ND ROUND GAME WILL BE???...

Answered 12/03/08 13:41:39 by High School Sports Beat Writer

A: I guess they proved your argument correct.

Q: Has anyone noticed the freshman QB at American Senior High School this year? He threw for nine hundred yards seven touchdowns and six INT's. He also ran for three touchdowns.

Answered 12/03/08 13:41:07 by High School Sports Beat Writer

A: Sounds like a bright future.

Q: who are the top defensive backs in the state of florida

Answered 12/03/08 13:39:59 by High School Sports Beat Writer

A: Brandon McGee, Plantation; Keith Reaser, Killian; Natturner Harris, Booker T.; Michael Carter, Ely; Khalid Marshall, NW to name a few

Q: Coming up is the Broward County All-Star game with the North vs. the South. How do you think both teams are stacked this year with players? And who do you favor to win the All-Star game?

Answered 12/03/08 13:38:05 by High School Sports Beat Writer

A: Whoever has less kids back out of playing in the game. Both teams have a lot of good players. I think the South has more talent from more of the better teams.

Q: Now that teams have been picked. Killian vs. Northwestern. Northwestern is 11-1 Killian 10-2. It's a pretty good match up. So lets break it down. Quarterback NW. RB Kiilian WR Northwestern. Defense Killian. Offence tossup. So who do you predict. Will if its a blow out Northwestern Close Game Edge Killian. What do you think of my alagey?

Answered 12/03/08 13:34:58 by High School Sports Beat Writer

A: I agree with one exception. I don't think offense is a toss-up. I think NW is more balanced on offense than Killian which struggles to throw the ball. Edge NW.

Q: how about killian why are you leaving them out of everything

Answered 12/03/08 13:33:17 by High School Sports Beat Writer

A: Because I'd be surprised if they beat Northwestern with the dominant way they are playing right now. The only thing that gives me a little bit of hope for Killian is they are a very well-coached team and those sometimes find ways to beat the odds.

Q: Did you ever see miami northwestern play, if so how do they look this season. Does it look like they are going underfeated?

Answered 12/03/08 13:30:19 by High School Sports Beat Writer

A: The football team already has 1 loss, but they're looking good to win 3 straight state titles....oh, you mean the basketball team. I haven't seen them yet.

Q: Who are the dominant players for miami northwestern basket team? I heard they have a FANTASTIC 4! Four seniors that cant be stopped, do you think so?

Answered 12/03/08 13:29:14 by High School Sports Beat Writer

A: I'm sure they are much improved. They have a battle in that district though, playing Miami High and HML.

Q: Who do you like in the Pace/Naples & NW/Killian games this week?

Answered 12/03/08 13:28:35 by High School Sports Beat Writer

A: Northwestern and Naples. Although Larry is twisting my arm to pick Pace because he thinks Naples hasn't played as tough a schedule as Pace and I'd have to agree.

Q: When will the Wrestling Season Outlook be issued in the Miami Herald? How does 3A look? Any big contenders?

Answered 11/26/08 14:02:55 by High School Sports Beat Writer

A: It came out last Friday. South Dade looks like it will dominate 3A, but American, Columbus, Braddock and Southwest will all have solid wrestlers that could win state titles. And in 1A, Pace and Cardinal Gibbons will battle it out for a state title.

Q: I went to the BTW vs Northwestern and i think this game is going to be even better then that game. but my question would be how many future D-1 players you think are going to playing, who are some of those, and what do you think is going to be the overall outcome.

Answered 11/26/08 13:59:55 by High School Sports Beat Writer

A: At least 15-20 combined. Both NW and Central have Division I factories right now.

Q: What are feelings on the NBP-Gulliver game and the ABC-HERitage game?

Answered 11/26/08 13:59:03 by High School Sports Beat Writer

A: The games already happened, but in my picks column prior to the games, I picked the Dade teams winning. I thought they were more experienced and capable of setting up a Carroll-Gulliver rematch.
