Q: Coach Erick i said it before this can be fix and you will. our ship isn't going to sink in the future. it happened at the right time after 27pts/10 boards and 22pts/9 boards at the D-league. chalmers is making a lot progress by now. we need them to be very strong inside just like the opposite center flexible his muscle(tyson,howard... thought their all that inside).dexter great bob Mc and alonzo will teach you how to punish these guys inside you've got better move than them,be focus like chalmers all the time my advice to you. we need this team to settle down like it suppose too. right now we're only one inch away on what we try to have a better view for the future.after that go heat we're not affraid anybody grade b team now.

Q: Why is it that no one is talking about the pointguard carlos he is not perfoming well or penetrating the opponent defence so no one is afraid of him all the teams miami lost to is there pointguard that beats us
Answered 11/29/10 03:44:25 by Joseph Goodman
A: Offensively, Arroyo has actually adapted well to his new role, which features him playing off the ball more than handling it. While Arroyo is only averaging about 21 minutes a game, he leads all perimeter players with a shooting percentage of 52 percent, including 62 percent from three-point range. But is this the best use of Arroyo's skill set? Like everything with this team right now, Arroyo's role is a work in progress. Defensively, Arroyo only has five steals on the season. In comparison, reserve Mario Chalmers has seven steals on the season while averaging less than nine minutes per game. Chalmers played 21 minutes against Dallas and could have an expanded role moving forward.Submitted by Dennis from Miami, FL
Q: Since Michael Beasley was still under contract with the Miami Heat, do they still need to pay him the remainder deal of his contract even though he was traded to the Timberwolves or do they take it?
Answered 11/25/10 10:47:54 by Joseph Goodman
A: Beasley, and his contract, were both traded.Submitted by NELSON MOLINA LOPEZ from BAYAMON PUERTO RICO
Q: Who else has been quite efficient in its ability to weak-side option? Mr. Arroyo. During the three previous seasons Arroyo was assisted in 24, 24 and 38 percent of their shots from the field. So far this season, the Heat's starting point guard has received assistance in 75 percent of their shots, which tells us that is usually open and his teammates know. Also recording a log of the actual percentage of 56.7 percent (the highest of his career), getting rebounds at a decent pace and, believe it or not, leads the Heat in offensive rating (points per possession while the player is in the court). Arroyo may not be the long-term solution to the Heat point guard, but has been effective in the early games downloads receiver James and a threat from the weak side midway in the investment of swing "Heat. because you said it should be out of the rotation and start chalmers

Q: The heat had 1 foul to give at the last possession in Memphis game. why it was not used in order to reduce the time of execution for the griz? is it a coaching mistake?

A: Great question. James defended the play well but Rudy Gay made a great shot.Submitted by Rob Valentine from Huntley, IL
Q: How're all those bold predictions of 73 wins looking now. This team plays horrible defense and won't even make it out of the east. What a joke. The Celts and Bulls are better, and The Bulls don't even have Carlos Boozer yet back from injury. Both the Bulls and Celts have deeper benches. Miami isn't even the best team in their division. Orlando is a better team. Celts 2-0 head 2 head. Bulls and Orlando better quality wins on the road and at home.

A: If Shaq can drop 25 and 10 every night (Wednesday), then no one is beating the Celtics.Submitted by Jim from Miami Beach
Q: It appears that Bosh is playing below his former level because he's slowed by his knee. How bad do you think is the condition of Bosh's knee? I've noticed that he isn't elevating much and that he has trouble running the court. I can't tell whether he is in pain or whether it's just the brace. Clearly something is wrong, which begs the question of why the Heat -- given all the alternatives -- went after someone with knee problems.
Answered 11/25/10 10:38:14 by Joseph Goodman
A: Bosh wears the brace for precautionary reasons. He was having back spasms against the Magic on Wednesday.Submitted by tony surin from 1745 nw 122 st miami fl
Q: Erick as you the coach I've been warned you about it. this can be fix for the entire organisation and particular yourself. my point view for you again is to start Chalmers as starter and dexter too. first Chalmers with damper to see how it work.but the price you paid now is Patrick Beverly he's ability to rebound, defend his position as a rookie in the summer I've seen.if you can find a way to call Beverly to try out that'll be great idea to back up Chalmers. we need to keep our intensity level on the defensive side all the time at point guard that's what we need to get going. arroyo is not bad but for this team no room for him at all either you like it or not arroyo is backing up Chalmers same old story repeat again about missing assignments on defensive side i have my trust in that after that good luck go heat you can it we'll take a strong man to do those change ahead of time to avoid the ship sink in the future.

Q: Hasnt anybody pointed out to Lebron that very few, if any, NBA championship teams, were forward-centric..i.e. built around a dominant forward ? He has to adjust, put the ball in Dwyane's hands, and he plays off Dwyane - it's the ony way.

Q: Hey, Mike I've got a question for you media people. Why don't you write a story about how Kevin Durant supports LeBron James and how good of friends they are to each other. Instead of trying to depicted Kevin as the Anti-LeBron. Now I'm not saying you depicted him as that but other media people do outside of Cleveland. I'm the biggest Kevin Durant fan and if a guy as nice and as humble as Kevin can forgive LeBron for the way he made his decision, and realize that he was looking out for his family and for himself and still be close friends with him and look up to him as a big brother then I can forgive LeBron too. But from my understanding a lot of articles that I have read today say its more fun to separate the two them and give LeBron horns and give Kevin a halo and to continue to depicted Kevin Durant as the Anti-LeBron James. All I'm saying is it would be nice for the truth to come out every once and a while instead trying to make them rivals off the court.

Q: More Heat hate/denial/jealousy/ I don't even know what to call it anymore- Apparently Durant is the overwhelming favorite to win MVP this year. Since when, though, does the MVP not go to the best player on the best team? It's a flawed system, but that's how it's always worked and it's too late to change it now. Heat fans experienced this firsthand in '08 when Wade was snubbed because Miami's record was too low, despite his insanely good individual performance. So unless these same people are predicting the Thunder and Lakers to have more W's than Miami, how are Lebron and Wade not the overwhelming favorites to win MVP?

Q: Would you agree that the media and the nba tend to neglect dwyane wade? He's always seems like the underdog in almost every situation in his entire career (his rookie year, the 2006 finals, the 2008 olympics and his comeback year). Now it seems he will be the underdog in his own team.
Answered 10/18/10 04:44:07 by Joseph Goodman
A: No, I don't agree. Wade is not neglected and never has been. I feel like I already answered this question tonight.Submitted by Jason from Mission Viejo, CA
Q: Hey Mike, even tho Lebron is a heck of an unselfish player, I do notice that he tends to hold on to the ball sometimes disrupting the offensive flow. Don't you think it would be better for a team like this to use the triangle offense, thus utilizing BOTH Wade's passing abilities along with Lebron's without either one dominating the ball?

Q: Actually two questions, Mike. I know it's only preseason, but will the big three, Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh be healthy together to play the 82-game regular season and the NBA playoffs, and who do you think currently is the Heat's biggest rival, and why? Thanks!
Answered 10/18/10 04:36:41 by Joseph Goodman
A: The Heat's biggest rival? Well, if you were at the Heat's open practice on Monday, then you would assume it's the Lakers. Everyone was chanting, "Beat L.A." -joeSubmitted by Jose from Caguas, Puerto Rico

Q: Hey Mike. I have 2 questions for you. I fully understand that with atheletes in preaseason and training camp that hamstring strains are pretty common in all sports, with that being said is Wade's being held out of these games to ensure complete health ata least until the last couple of games, just to give him, Bosh, and LBJ at least some time to get there timing with each other down? Also, to me Dexter Pittman on the low blocks looks like a raw version of Zo with his post up moves that he displayed in the Pistons game. Has Zo been working with him on his game as well as maybe his physique because the guy is beginning to show signs of a beast that will be hard to keep buried on the back end of the rotation of big men let alone the roster?

Q: hi mike. i read an article on ESPN and i have to say i agree with it despite being a Heat fan. the article said that the heat are a very good tem right now but wat about in 8-10 years? LeBron, Bosh, and Wade will be in their mid 30's and towards the end of their careers. There wont be any unique young talent b/c the heat will never have a good draft pick b/c we will be championship contenders and there is also not that much of young talent on the team right now (big Z, house, howard, arroyo they're all veterans) what is your opinion about this? thanks

Q: Hi Michael, hope all is all right for you as usual. this week, and since D.Wade injury, i try to inquire about his recovery, and now, i try to do as well for Lebron.it seems that lebron's one is less important than Dwayne, but do you have any official news or reports concerning our players (including Eddy House, Rio, and Carlos..are heat's Point Guards 100percent healthy?). Thanks and Congrats to Chris Bosh who definitely shows his haters that he didn't came to be a shadow in Miami. Thanks for reading, and take care!

A: Bosh can play, no doubt. As for the lingering injuries at point guard, I don't think it's going to be a problem. You've seen LeBron play point, right?Submitted by Donnell Thurmond from Port St. Lucie Florida
Q: hey michael i notice that last week vs the thunder lebron started going to the post. i never understood why he did not do that in cleveland. if he continues to do that he's unguardable. Also i saw chris bosh against the hornets last night. i think people should not sleep on him he's the exfactor out of the big 3 not just the 3rd option.

Q: What will the final roster look like? It will be a shame if we do not end up signing Butler or Beverly. Butler can prove to be a steal and Beverly has shown defensive prowless, something this staff demands from everyone. I know the Big Cat has Wade on his side and by accounts seems to be a good veteran presence but at the end of the day he did not play much last season and we will be out of the draft for quite some time. Should we turn to youth instead?
Answered 10/18/10 04:11:54 by Joseph Goodman
A: A lot of love for Beverley on the Q & A. Wasn't Andres Galarraga's nickname the Big Cat? Shouldn't there be copyrights to these things? In all seriousness, Beverley seems like a third-line guy for the time being. As for Butler, I covered the Final Four last season when he went down. Very sad moment. Best of luck with the rehab. It seems like the Heat has the luxury of taking its time with Butler. We'll see.Submitted by Rodrigo from Sunrise, FL

Q: Joel Anthony is the only piece in the starting line-up that has me somewhat concerned. Yes, he is a good (not great) defensive player and yes he is a great shot blocker. However, we pretty much get ZERO offensive efforts from him. I've seen him grab rebounds and instead of taking the open lay-up to score or get a foul call, he rather pass the ball outside. I know we have a lot of offense everywhere else, but 8 points a game from our starting center wouldn't hurt right? What do you think about starting Big Z? He isn't a terrible defender either and is likely to be a little more aggresive at the offense.
Answered 10/18/10 03:54:28 by Joseph Goodman
A: I'm seriously in a state of shock that my first day on the beat and everyone's up in arms about the offensive production of Joel Anthony. What? No one wants to discuss the pros and cons of LeBron at point or his new shoe design? What about Wade's evolving role on the team? For some reason, I don't think the season is going to hinge on eight points a night from Joel Anthony. If Anthony and Big Z can limit Dwight Howard, they'll be earning their paychecks.
