Q: George, if you were the "cats" GM. What player or players would you target to add to the team before the trade deadline?

Answered 01/25/12 18:39:43 by George Richards

A: Good question; but first you have to determine the pieces you are willing to give up. Dale will not be giving up the kids. So that limits what he can do. Teams that are selling are looking toward the future.

Q: what are erik gudbransons parents names

Answered 01/10/12 13:45:43 by George Richards

A: Wayne and Donna.

Q: Any word from the NHL on a fine/suspension for the Ranger's Del Zotto? Or for the coward Rupp after taking liberties on Kopecky?

Answered 01/10/12 13:45:09 by George Richards

A: Just the 2,500 beans Mr. Del Zotto and Kopecky are donating. Tax write-off, I think.

Q: George, do the cats have any interest in Ryan Getzlaff or Bobby Ryan of the Ducks ?

Answered 01/10/12 13:44:36 by George Richards

A: Yeah, I would think the Panthers and 28 other teams have interest in those two. Throw in the Ducks as well. Going to take a lot to get either one.

Q: Why all the big to do about the Panthers George, believe it or not they actually have a losing record they are 20-21. And if they go on a 3 game losing streak they might even be out of the playoffs. Check it out

Answered 01/10/12 13:44:00 by George Richards

A: Well, yeah, but they are still in first. I agree with you in that I've never subscribed to the "we're seven games over .500" when a team is 20-13-10. No, you're three games UNDER .500. But since the NHL standings are based on points, hey, whatever.

Q: The cats lost 3-2 against NJ. Two of the goals for the Devils were empty net. Does the empty net goals go against the goalies GAA ?

Answered 01/10/12 13:42:04 by George Richards

A: No they do not. The NHL scoresheet shows exactly how much time a goalie was on the ice and how long a net was empty. Markstrom is only charged for the three goals he gave up.

Q: when do you expect us to see weiss, samuelson and sturm back?

Answered 12/27/11 15:50:43 by George Richards

A: Weiss soon, I think; the others I really don't know. The Panthers are keeping things under wraps.

Q: wha t are erik gudbranson snames

Answered 12/27/11 15:50:02 by George Richards

A: erik and gudbranson?

Q: George, Brian Cambell is the best stick handler on the team. Why doesn't Dineen use him in shootouts ?

Answered 12/20/11 19:12:37 by George Richards

A: That's a very good question; maybe he's not a good shooter?

Q: Any word on Upshall? Is there a time table for him? I heard Goc continues to have concussion symtoms, any chances of hm coming back in Jauary? How bad are Skille's and Bergenheim's injuries?

Answered 12/20/11 19:11:55 by George Richards

A: Bergenheim not bad apparently; just a groin...

Q: any idea of when Upshall is gonna get back to skating? With all the injuries, I'm just curious if he is close to a return

Answered 12/20/11 19:11:18 by George Richards

A: Word is he's not coming back until January some time...

Q: George, I understand that the "cats" have to ware those ugly Blue Jerseys from last yr for 6 home games. Is this true ? If so, why?

Answered 11/28/11 09:58:47 by George Richards

A: Well 13 total games; it's their deal with the league. You want a third jersey? You got to wear it - even if you change your mind and don't like it anymore.

Q: When is Stephen Weiss going to be named Captain? and if he isn't ...how come we don't have a Captain? Even Dvorak thinks Weiss should be named Captain! He is the heart and soul of the Team! Do you think differently about this?

Answered 11/28/11 09:57:30 by George Richards

A: I agree; Weiss is the man on this team
