Q: With the trade of our underachieving, over priced, thank god he is gone forward, Rusty "the bum" Olesz we received Brian Campbell. Judging by the D men we currently have signed only one spot is left. I know Gudbranson's agent is being extremely aggresive and this is complicating the signing of a contract, but putting that aside do you think he will be part of our roster next season?

Answered 06/28/11 11:50:16 by George Richards

A: He's going to have a chance. The way the roster sits right now, he's got a good shot at a spot. But, there's a lot of time between now and then.

Q: If Tampa doesn't resign Stamkos before the 1st, do you see the Panthers making a run at him? He would add instant scoring and credibility to the franchise.

Answered 06/28/11 11:49:35 by George Richards

A: They just might. Tampa is going to match just about anything I would think.

Q: Last year the Panthers and Dale Tallon had 3 first round draft picks. How has Gudbranson, Bjugstad and Howden progressed this year?

Answered 06/27/11 00:22:50 by George Richards

A: Howden has done better than the other two, but all three have done well...the Panthers are very high on all three of those cats...so to speak...

Q: Now that Atlanta has moved to Winnipeg, are the Panthers looking to move to Quebec ? I feel next season is a make or break for the team. What is your crystal ball saying ?

Answered 06/27/11 00:21:46 by George Richards

A: The Panthers will be in Quebec City in 2011-12...

Q: If you were a mythical creature, which would you be?

Answered 06/27/11 00:21:15 by George Richards

A: Ron Burgundy...You stay classy, San Diego!

Q: George, Dale says he will add some good free agents to the team, going through the ones available I don't really see any good ones to add to this roster to make a difference. Have you heard of any he is going after?

Answered 06/27/11 00:19:39 by George Richards

A: It's a weak class, that's for sure...

Q: I love Sean Couturier for the Panthers 3rd pick, what do you think?

Answered 06/27/11 00:19:00 by George Richards

A: How about Jonathan Huberdeau?

Q: George, the release of Bergfors is a surprise. (He could be another Grabner). They said he didn't fit in. Why ?

Answered 06/27/11 00:18:27 by George Richards

A: I was a little surprised myself, although he sure didn't do much...he seemed like a cool guy, though, one who fit in well. For a team with a lot of money to spend, what the hell?

Q: George, who do you think the "cats" #1 will be ?

Answered 06/13/11 17:42:11 by George Richards

A: Not sure because they could trade the third pick and pick up a few more first round selections...it will be a forward, however...

Q: George, What's the odds that Quinton Howden makes it on the roster this season?

Answered 06/13/11 00:08:33 by George Richards

A: Don't see it happening, but he has a contract and will be in camp so he'll get a shot...

Q: Not to beat a dead horse, but if the decision to put Grabner on wavers was on Pete D. Was that a big chip in his dismissal?

Answered 06/07/11 14:44:44 by George Richards

A: Yeah, not buying it. If Pete had say in the roster, Gudbranson would have made the team out of camp and Reinprecht wouldn't have. In fact, PDeB benched Reinprecht for the first three road games. Pete may have given his input, but FLA management made the decision to send Grabner to the minors. Of course, he never made it there.

Q: I keep seeing those TV ratings of us being dead last with 3,000. and think that impossible because of the fact we aren't last in attendance or revenue. Any possible way that they left the whole county of palm beach out of those tv ratings? I notice they do that some times with other tv ratings.

Answered 06/07/11 14:42:53 by George Richards

A: That very well could be the case...the West Palm market always scores very well for NHL hockey...will check on that

Q: Hey George, I heard a rumor that the Cats are coming out with a new jersey. Can you confirm?

Answered 06/02/11 00:07:04 by George Richards

A: Red, red and red...

Q: now that we have a new coach. What does this mean for Gordon Murphy? does he loses his job?

Answered 06/02/11 00:06:51 by George Richards

A: Gord is expected to stay as an assistant coach...he was hired by Dale last summer and was the only one they kept after firing Pete DeBoer

Q: George, Despite the questions, we haven't heard much about the coaching search. Word online is that a Black Hawks assistant is a leading candidate. Any word on this?

Answered 05/26/11 17:39:47 by George Richards

A: Oh I would think they have already talked to Mike Haviland about the opening. He is definitely a candidate.

Q: hey george it been awhile any news on any signing other than ellerby and new coach news.

Answered 05/26/11 17:38:50 by George Richards

A: Nothing at all. Can't even get my phone calls returned.

Q: Who are the core young players that make up the future foundation of the Panthers?

Answered 05/06/11 18:51:51 by George Richards

A: Would have said Weiss and Booth, but they aren't so young no more...have to go with guys like Gudbranson, Kulikov, Dadonov, Bjugstad, etc.

Q: George, New coach? My vote is for Kevin Dineen. My question concerns Bobby Orr. Orr is arguably the best hockey player ever. What has happen to him? We never hear about him. I believe he had a riff with the NHL . What happen? Do you think he would consider coaching ?

Answered 05/06/11 18:50:23 by George Richards

A: Bobby is an agent; represents Nathan Horton among others...he lives down here during the winters and often watches Panthers games from the press box...very nice guy and I enjoy the brief chats we have...

Q: Who should the Panthers pick at the NHL draft?

Answered 05/06/11 18:49:04 by George Richards

A: It will be a forward, but we won't know which one perhaps until draft day...will depend on what EDM and COL do...

Q: Now that we know there will be a new head coach, who do you think will be looked at? Do you think that Gord Murphy will have a shot?

Answered 04/11/11 17:48:21 by George Richards

A: I was told last week that Gord doesn't have much of a shot and Dale Tallon confirmed that today...too bad...actually don't even know if Gord wants to be a head coach...heck of an assistant though...
