It’s a challenge to find locally grown food

It’s difficult to [buy locally grown food] in Miami, particularly when shopping at large chain grocery stores. Additionally, many farmers markets, such as the one on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach, are stocked with fruits and vegetables that come from out of state or Latin America.
I think the distinction between grown locally and grown organically is important and could be explored more. Some people will choose organic over local, but their carbon footprint is larger if those organic goods are coming from the West Coast or abroad.
