Home-grown talent
I recently enjoyed Topol's farewell tour in Fiddler on the Roof. He was sensational, age not withstanding. I was, however, pleasantly surprised by one of the actors, Sean Patrick Doyle, who played Frume-Sarah.
I have seen the show countless times, but this was the first time a male played the female role. His performance was outstanding. I was elated to know that Doyle was born and raised in Miami and is a graduate of the New World School of the Arts, part of Miami-Dade Public Schools.
I applaud Doyle for his magnificent performance, and I congratulate the New World School for the education and training it provided to allow a local student to make it to the big time in the theater. We should all be proud of him and the school.
