While the world’s attention seems to have been focused upon the spread of radical Islam, it appears that Vladimir Putin is well into a program of Russian expansion, including many of the trappings of the Cold War era.
So far, it appears that our elected officials in Washington have not been able to get their collective arms around this “new” 800-pound gorilla.
Certainly, this issue is far more deserving of Washington’s attention than many of the other relatively petty issues with which Congress is infatuated. Lacking any demonstration of the will, leadership and resolve needed to move ahead, is Congress heading toward another term of near-zero accomplishment?
