I just can’t believe that Ramón Saúl Sánchez can be deported per U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services order (Cuban exile activist’s request for residency suddenly denied, he says, April 16).
How is that possible if he had applied for permanent residency in 2012? Under the Cuban Adjustment Act he can obtain legal permanent residency status after one year and one day. Sánchez, if anything, is a legitimate political refugee. Where is he going to be deported to? Cuba?
