I can’t help but wonder if the Miami Herald is covering some fantasy or the president’s sad trip to Cuba.
With the Ladies in White being beaten up in public view, the snub by Raúl Castro at the airport and the empty and rainy Havana streets, the Herald describes a “warm welcome?”
I guess being shown around town by communist bureaucrats and eating at a fancy restaurant where Cubans cannot go is a warm welcome in some fantasy where communists exchange their privileged position for a picture with a lame duck U.S. president and some fat and lazy American businessmen hoping for easy profits off 57 years of Cuban misery.
Any warmer and it would be called hell.
Never miss a local story.
