Coach Tom Coughlin is the clear-cut choice to resurrect the Miami Dolphins franchise.
Coughlin did that 12 years ago with the New York Giants. In the process he won two Super Bowls, including victory over the 16-0 New England Patriots, a game most long-time Miami Dolphins’ fans might remember.
An ex-Marine and strict disciplinarian, Coughlin accomplished these goals without superstars and with a good, but not great, quarterback in Eli Manning. Coughlin had a reputation of caring for the individual player as well as for winning.
He is exactly what the Dolphins need.
Does he remind you of a certain retired coaching legend who now lives in nearby Indian Creek? Owner Stephen Ross should hurry before Coughlin is no longer available.
