It was heartwarming to read the letter from Bayan Sami Abdul Rahman, Kurdistan’s regional government representative to the United States, thanking our veterans for their service and sacrifice in their joint battle against terrorism and injustice. It is this gratitude from those throughout the world suffering from terrorism, tyranny and unimaginable injustices that demonstrates the generosity and exceptional ability of the U.S. military and the American people.
If only those self-indulged college students, fortunate enough to attend some of the best universities in this country, would take a moment to recognize the sacrifices endured by American soldiers in securing the freedom to protest and express their grievances.
They should envision trying those antics in a communist country or one overrun with terrorists whose rulers would not think twice about executing them for expressing their views.
