Congratulations to the Miami Herald on your excellent series covering climate change in greater depth. Reporters Jenny Staletovich, Joey Flechas, and Emily Michot should be commended for digging deeper and reporting on current and future realities of climate disruptions. Keep up the good work.
I believe that if we South Floridians confront the problem aggressively — eyes wide open to the seriousness and solutions — we could attract funding and problem-solving ingenuity to our region.
We need both to scale climate adaptation and mitigation efforts.
Why not us?
Never miss a local story.
Most of humanity lives at or very near to coasts, and South Florida can become the hub for figuring out how to maximize benefits, minimize risks, and prepare for the seemingly inevitable sea rise, worldwide, that will drive coastal residents inland.
