The United States has always supported Israel, and although the current administration speaks favorably of the strong U.S.-Israeli ties, it continues its pattern of disrespect toward our Mideast ally.
Most recently, while Israel attended President Obama’s speech at the United Nations, Secretary of State John Kerry and Ambassador Samantha Power were deliberately absent when Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke of the contentious Iranian nuclear deal. The U.S. delegation sat silently while other nations applauded the end of Netanyahu’s speech.
This administration’s verbal support of Israel is meaningless. This is no way to treat a cherished friend.
