Re the Aug. 29 article Two bankers in lead for Jackson Health board: Some things in Miami will never change — those most qualified will not be selected in favor of those “with strong local connections.”
Selecting bankers over a long-time and highly qualified healthcare professional makes sense here in Miami where connections supersede competence. Having served with Judith Rosenbaum in the Department of Elder Affairs’ Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program, I can say that she is highly knowledgeable, creative and relentless in seeking solutions to problems and greatly concerned with the welfare of our residents in need of care.
Obviously, these attributes place her well behind the bankers.
