In light of the Oct. 6 Supreme Court decision to decline hearing of challenges of rulings regarding same-sex marriage by six states, it is incumbent on Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi to reverse her position immediately on several related cases in this state. She sought to buy time by awaiting rulings by the court. The Supreme Court now has acted decisively.
Furthermore, numerous polls show a strong majority of Floridians now support same-sex marriage.
If Bondi fails to take this action before Election Day, she should be resoundingly voted out of office for ignoring the will and rights of a majority of its state residents.
