I am a registered Republican, but Florida’s Republican Party has confused me with its television ads against Democrat Charlie Crist. Crist took money from Broward Ponzi schemer Scott Rothstein, now a convicted felon serving time. The ad fails to mention Rothstein’s donations to the Republican Party of Florida.
It says that the money to Crist bought judgeships, implying that the judges Crist appointed should not have their positions.
The ads tell us to vote “not to retain” the four Florida Supreme Court Justices Crist appointed when they come up for merit retention.
This is unfair to the justices that Crist appointed — Charles T. Canady, Ricky Polston, Jorge Labarga and James E.C. Perry — as well as to the Broward County judges he appointed.
Has my party gone crazy or does it think the voters are stupid?
