Mayor’s bad budget

While the economy continues to improve and tax revenues rise, Mayor Gimenez and our Commission continue to play a very dangerous political game.

The political warfare directed at both county employees and the services they provide is wholly unwarranted and will do irreparable harm to our community.

It is inconceivable that our political leaders would ever layoff the men and women who protect this community. Our police officers and their loved ones never know when they might not return home at the end of their shifts.

Think about what it is like for their loved ones to live with the fear and anxiety that is a daily reality. Those public servants have our backs 24/7, shouldn't we at least have theirs?
