Scott’s lack of integrity

Bravo to Carl Hiaasen for his Aug. 3 column, Control gag reflex and keep reading, about Rick Scott’s hog and deer hunting escapades at U.S. Sugar’s King Ranch.

There is not one bit of difference between the Rick Scott who ran for governor in 2010 and the one who is running again today — except that now he seems to have made more “pal-around friends” from the ranks of those he once reviled because of their support for his opponents while proclaiming that he “can’t be bought.”

I and many others, Republicans and Democrats alike, gagged then and gag now.

Whether in Texas or in Florida, there is no difference between the money machine Scott used to kill hogs and deer and the one in play to hunt down voters.

Hiaasen correctly concludes that Scott flushed his integrity down the toilet.

However, he did that a long time ago, way before he shot and stuffed the head of that defenseless buck.
