Huge flag? Forget it!

The word “upset” is not strong enough to describe my feelings regarding about billionaire Mike Fernandez’s proposal to erect the biggest post to fly the biggest American flag in the country in order to show Cuban Americans’ gratitude to this country for receiving us with open arms.
He should show his gratitude, instead, by using those millions to buy laptops for homeless young adults who are entering college as Miami-Dade Schools Superintendent Alberto Carvalho is doing. As a Cuban-American myself, I don’t want Fernandez to include me in his show of gratitude.
