Thank you for enlightening the voters on how state GOP legislators and the governor serve as shining examples of public transparency.
The July 27 article State GOP won’t talk about trips to ranch reflects the real priorities of the Florida GOP, to serve special interests, not Florida residents, so why talk about it.
As the article states, “The sugar industry frequently sought help from politicians who accepted Texas hunting trips,” obviously to benefit the sugar industry, not Floridians.
No surprise here, as this issue combined with the recent rejection by Leon County Judge Terry Lewis, of the Republican-led Florida Legislature’s 2012 congressional redistricting maps, should be more than enough to open the voters’ eyes.

Yet Florida voters continue to vote Republican despite what Judge Lewis stated in his ruling: “Improper partisan intent...making a mockery of the attempt to conduct themselves with transparency.” Florida voters need to wake up, we deserve transparency from our elected officials, and not what the GOP wants us to see.
