Kudos to MDPD

My daughter and her family were visiting Miami for a Bat Mitzvah. While they were parked near a restaurant, someone broke into their car and stole, among other things, religious articles of significant sentimental value. Soon after, they received a telephone call from Det. Benjamin Furer, telling them that the MDPD had recovered some of their stolen goods. He took it upon himself to track down my son-in-law utilizing an old phone number written into one of the prayer books. My daughter described some of the other items that were taken. MDPD was able to locate them in the same apartment as the other items. My family and I are greatly appreciative of the extraordinary effort by Det. Furer, Det. Jonathan Ortiz, Lt. Stacy Barasch, and all officers who worked on the case. Kudos and hats off to the MDPD for making a New York City couple very happy.
