The first Iraq War was launched by President George W. Bush in 2003. President Obama declared that war ended in 2011. Now Obama has launched a second war in Iraq. The United States has introduced 750 armed soldiers into Iraq, most in the past 60 days. Southern Iraq is fighting an insurgency from northern Iraq. Among the 750 U.S. troops are military advisers. We want the government we supported replaced.
Obama should refresh himself on Vietnam. The circumstances are eerily similar. And the president should inform Americans what he intends to do when the first U.S. troops are killed.
