As much as I would like to think that the justices of the Supreme Court truly evaluate cases on their legal merits, the recent decision and split on the funding of birth control epitomizes how they twist their rulings to miraculously conform to their political or social perspective. All too often it seems that they start with the verdict and work back to justify it rather than processing the arguments to arrive at a rational conclusion.
