As we commemorate Freedom Summer, I would like to pay tribute to my parents, Marlene Dunn, who was one of the first teachers in the Dade County Schools to volunteer to integrate the schools, and my father, Irving Dunn, (now deceased) who fought pro bono as an attorney to keep black men off of Death Row. This is my legacy and I am proud and humbled.
