The photograph that appeared on page 6B on June 24 of the Lighting the Circle shows Alan Noe inserting glow sticks into post-hole remnants of a probable Tequesta village with Bob Carr’s comments, “Up to 500 post holes will be illuminated.”
This is another wake-up call to the community, Miami commissioners and the developer regarding Met Square. Saving the ancient relics should be more important than constructing pilings in the relics that can destroy what remains of Miami’s heritage. Miami’s struggle to become a “world-class city” appears lost in destruction of its heritage.
