Death Row ‘friends’

Re Marci Alborghetti’s June 14 Other Views column, Death penalty is not a Christian value: Alborghetti is convinced her friends on Death Row are sincere in their anti-violence stances, meditation, prayer and redemption. She goes as far as labeling several governors competitors in the number of execution orders they have signed.

She also places America in the same category as Iran, Somalia, Sudan, North Korea and China because we execute criminals. I wonder how many of her friends on Death Row would she invite to stay at her home in Connecticut or Key West if they were released to her custody?

But she never touches on the pain and suffering these inmates caused to their victims and their families. Did she ever talk to them or exchange birthday and Christmas cards with them?
