The controversial swap of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl for five Taliban Guantánamo prisoners could be explained as a numbers game — five for one. This could probably be a preliminary step of the Obama administration to justify the possible swap of Alan Gross for the Cuban spies of the Avispa Network — the Wasp Network). Even though there are only three left in prison — two of them are already back in Cuba — he Cuban communist government still refers to them as “the five Cuban heroes,” so there could also be a five for one deal.

Gross is an innocent hostage illegally grabbed by Fidel Castro when his evil mind was still sharp enough to contrive a deal to free the spies. Gross should be freed without conditions.
