Bad deal on Bergdahl trade

I was shocked when I read the June 8 editorial, Bringing Bergdahl home, which concludes that President Obama made the right decision on trading five top terrorists for this soldier. Whether or not, Bergdahl will be adjudicated a deserter and the policy of not leaving an American behind are not the issues.

Negotiating with terrorists, then secretly releasing not one, but five, while violating the law requiring notification to Congress isn’t the right call.

But I’m not surprised because this president chooses which laws to obey and which his Justice Department will enforce.
