Re the March 23 article, Fundraising campaign kicks off for Cuban Exile History Museum: Creating a Cuban Exile History Museum is a good idea.
The people who fled here from Cuba have done much to re-shape and improve the fabric of South Florida. But building the proposed museum on public-owned bayside property, namely Parcel B, is not a good idea.
Miami needs more park space, not less.
The Cuban museum can be placed on any number of suitable sites nearby. Let's make the best use of Parcel B.
Never miss a local story.
We should create a world-class park that will celebrate Miami's natural beauty for generations to come.
