Miami-Dade Schools, through Miami Dade Partners, is not friendly at all toward special needs companies and corporations. Certainly not mine.
I recently tried to offer free Special Needs Fitness Sports Group classes to lower income kids at two participating schools. All I had to do was get a form from the partners office, go to the elementary schools and meet the schools’ liaisons.
But for some reason, the principals of these two schools refused the free service for their students and parents. No reason was given.
I noticed at both schools there are advertisements for fitness classes similar to mine, but they charge for their services; ours is free. Is there a bias against a special needs disability company? There are many unanswered questions here.
