Roadwork this week will hamper commuters on State Roads 836 and 826, as well as on Florida’s Turnpike, Interstate 95 and South Dixie Highway in South Dade.
Several ramps will close intermittently for paving along State Road 836. They include the entrance to westbound 836 from southbound Northwest 27th Avenue through Thursday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night; the westbound 836 exit to southbound Northwest 27th Avenue through Thursday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night; and the westbound 836 exit ramp to Northwest 37th Avenue through Thursday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night.
On I-95, the southbound ramp to the Turnpike and westbound 826 will be closed through Thursday between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. and on Friday and Saturday between 10 p.m. and 10 a.m..
All southbound Turnpike lanes will be closed Thursday between Eureka Drive and Caribbean Boulevard from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. for widening work. Also, for the same purpose, one or two northbound or southbound Turnpike lanes may be closed nightly at various locations between Southwest 216th Street and Eureka Drive/Southwest 184th Street between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. through Thursday. Also, one or two Turnpike lanes in each direction between Southwest 104th Street/Killian Parkway and Southwest 72nd Street/Sunset Drive may close nightly from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday.
Meanwhile, on U.S. 1/South Dixie Highway, one or two lanes in each direction may be closed nightly at the Turnpike interchange between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. through Thursday.
