A truck smashed through the front of a Pembroke Pines cellular store early Friday, allowing a team of thieves to grab electronic equipment.

The Verizon store at 11089 Pines Blvd. was damaged in the theft, which happened before the store opened for business.

A series of similar smash-and-grab-thefts happend last year at H.H. Gregg electronic and appliance stores in Hialeah and Aventura.
