After nearly a day waiting for results, Broward Commissioner John Rodstrom finally learned Wednesday that he'd won a narrow victory in Tuesday's Democratic primary over Fort Lauderdale commissioner Carlton Moore.
Rodstrom's 144 vote margin of victory in the County Commission race is apparently just enough to avoid a recount required when candidates are separated by less than half a percent.
Rodstrom will face write-in candidate Lucille Brinson in November.
In addition to Moore, Rodstrom was challenged by Davie Commissioner Bryan Caletka and contractor Robert McKinzie.
Rodstrom polled 2,692 votes, or just under 30 percent of the total votes cast.
