A thief smashed a window on a 2008 Ford in the parking lot of IHOP, 11927 S. Dixie Hwy., and stole a MacBook Pro valued at $1,500 and other computer equipment valued at $170 between 5 and 5:45 p.m. Oct. 9. The owner had just made the purchase at the Apple Store inside the Falls Shopping Center.

Someone shattered a window on a 2003 Dodge in the 9100 block of Southwest 72nd Avenue and stole a GPS valued at $350, tools valued at $600 and CDs valued at $50 at 9:15 a.m. Oct. 7.

A burglar took jewelry valued at $4,875 from the kitchen pantry of a house in the 8700 block of Southwest 64th Court between noon Oct. 1 and 4:30 p.m. Oct. 7.

• PALMETTO BAY

A thief stole a camera from an unlocked 2007 Honda Odyssey in the 6700 block of Southwest 140th Street between 10 p.m. Oct. 13 and 9 a.m. Oct. 14. The camera was valued at $175.

• FAIRWAY HEIGHTS

A thief drove off with a 20087 Kia in the 9500 block of Colonial Drive between 5 and 11 p.m. Oct. 8.

• SOUTH MIAMI HEIGHTS

A thief took a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe from the 21500 block of Southwest 124th Place between 11 p.m. Oct. 11 and 9 a.m. Oct. 12.

• CUTLER BAY

A thief stole two potted plants from a yard in the 9900 block of Southwest 194th Street at 8:45 a.m. Oct. 17. The plants were valued at $200.

A thief stole a shotgun and computer after breaking a window on a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado in the 19800 block of South Dixie Highway between 3 and 4:30 p.m. Oct. 17. The items were valued at $4,000. Damage was estimated at $100.

• CUTLER RIDGE

A thief stole a concrete saw and three chains from a 2008 Ford F-150 in the 10400 block of Marlin Road after damaging a door lock between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Oct. 13. The items were valued at $7,000. Damage was estimated at $300.

A thief stole a purse, credit cards and identification cards from a 2000 Nissan Pathfinder in the 10700 block of Southwest 186th Street while the owner paid for gas at 9:45 a.m. Oct. 14. The items were valued at $30.

• LINCOLN CITY PARK AREA

A thief stole a purse, medicine, a camera, two debit cards, $500, an identification card and other items from an unlocked 1996 Honda Civic in the 10300 block of Southwest 220th Street at 2:45 p.m. Oct. 11. The items were valued at $510.

• GOULDS

A thief drove off with a 1992 Buick Roadmaster from the 12600 block of Southwest 224th Street between 9:45 p.m. Oct. 14 and 6:45 a.m. Oct. 15.

• NARANJA

A thief stole a purse, credit cards and documents from a 1992 Honda Civic at the corner of 272nd Street and South Dixie Highway as the owner loaded groceries in the back of the car at about 5 p.m. Oct. 15.

A thief took a 1995 GMC 1500 truck from the 24500 block of Southwest 162nd Avenue between 11 p.m. Oct. 8 and 6:45 a.m. Oct. 9.

A thief stole a 1998 GMC utility truck from the 24500 block of Southwest 162nd Avenue between 11 p.m. Oct. 8 and 6 a.m. Oct. 9.

• PRINCETON

A thief drove off with a 2000 Toyota from the 25500 block of Southwest 138th Place between 7 p.m. Oct. 10 and 8:45 a.m. Oct. 11.

• LEISURE CITY

A thief stole a car stereo after breaking a window on a 1998 Honda Accord in the 28300 block of Southwest 153rd Avenue between 5 and 10 a.m. Oct. 13. The radio was valued at $150. Damage was estimated at $100.
