Time to focus on our town's future
I have received hundreds of calls from well-wishers since an incident occurred that destroyed my office. I would like to respond to our residents and well-wishers from outside our town, with a heartfelt and warm ``thank you'' and ``God bless.''
In response to the neverending question of how I'm doing, the answer is that I'm doing great. I don't think about the incident Tuesday morning. I think about the children I saw at the K-8 and middle school throughout Tuesday during principal for a day. One look at those great kids and you see nothing but promise and hope.
I think about the hundreds of seniors at our best attended senior health fair on Saturday. I think about the group from Shula's Health CLub doing the Breast Cancer Walk early Saturday. I think about the thousands of residents and families who showed up on a sunny day and enjoyed themselves as we opened our town's new community center at Royal Oaks Park. Let me end by saying two things.
First, I can tell you first-hand that our police and firefighters deserve every penny they get. Second, I ask all residents to unite and focus on the town's bright future. That's all that matters.
