DORAL
A thief stole a radio and an amplifier after breaking a window on a 2001 Ford Focus in the 8200 block of Lake Drive between 7 p.m. Oct. 13 and 9 a.m. Oct. 14. The items were valued at $1,880. Damage was estimated at $300.
A thief took a BlackBerry and other items after breaking a door lock on a 2008 Ford Expedition in the 8100 block of Northwest 12th Street between 9 and 11:15 a.m. Oct. 17. The items were valued at $340. Damage was estimated at $300.
DORAL AREA
A thief got construction equipment valued at $25,000 from a 2005 Ford F-350 in the 7300 block of Northwest 36th Street between 11 p.m.
Oct. 9 and 8 a.m. Oct. 10.
OPA-LOCKA WEST AIRPORT AREA
A thief took a purse, $150 and keys after breaking a window on a 2007 Scion at the corner of Northwest 170th Street and West Okeechobee Road at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 11. The items were valued at $35. Damage was estimated at $100.
COUNTRY LAKE PARK AREA
A burglar cut a hole in a roof and stole jewelry from Miral Jewelers in the 8500 block of Northwest 186th Street, using a blow torch to cut open three six-foot safes between 7 p.m. Oct. 11 and 9 a.m. Oct. 12. The owner estimated that jewelry valued at $50,000, but possibly more, had been taken. Damage was estimated at $16,000.
ACADIA PARK AREA
A thief stole a 1997 Saturn in the 6400 block of Northwest 186th Street between 5:30 and 7:45 p.m. Oct. 10.
A thief stole a Wii, four Wii games and four Wii controllers after breaking a window on a 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage in the 16500 block of Northwest 59th Avenue between 12:30 and 1:15 p.m. Oct. 7. The items were valued at $1,370. Damage was estimated at $100.
A burglar stole a laptop computer, DVD player and jewelry from a house in the 18600 block of Northwest 47th Avenue between 6:15 and 10:30 p.m. Oct. 11. The items were valued at $2,100.
A burglar stole two televisions, a Wii and a Play Station after crawling through an open window at an apartment in the 6100 block of Northwest 186th Street between 2 p.m. Oct. 9 and 1 p.m. Oct. 11. The items were valued at $2,460.
A thief took three saws and a trimmer after breaking the lock on a shed in the 19500 block of Northwest 48th Court between 7 p.m. Oct. 7 and 10 a.m. Oct. 9. The items were valued at $1,050. Damage was estimated at $10.
A thief stole a laptop computer after forcing open a window at an apartment in the 4900 block of Northwest 199th Street between 10 p.m. Oct. 10 and 6 a.m. Oct. 11. The laptop was valued at $800.
A burglar stole a jewelry box and jewelry after breaking a bedroom window at a house in the 14600 block of Northwest 88th Court between 9:45 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. Oct. 8. The items were valued at $1,000. Damage was estimated at $100.
A thief stole a wallet, $150 and a camera were stolen from a 2004 Toyota 4Runner in the 7900 block of Northwest 154th Street between 9 p.m. Oct. 7 and 8 a.m. Oct. 8. The items were valued at $160.
MIAMI LAKES AREA
A thief stole a 2009 Nissan Rogue from Esserman Nissan in the 16700 block of Northwest 59th Avenue after the owner left it for repairs between 10 a.m. Oct. 8 and noon Oct. 9.
MIAMI GARDENS
A vandal knocked down two security cameras at an America gas station in the 15600 block of Northwest 22nd Avenue at 7:45 p.m.
Oct. 17. Damage was estimated at $100.
A thief stole a gas can from a storage room and possibly set fire to a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer in the 3800 block of Northwest 178th Street between 2:15 and 2:20 a.m.
Oct. 18. The gas can was valued at $30. Damage to the storage room door was estimated at $75. No damage estimate was available for the vehicle.
A burglar took two computers after breaking a front glass door at New View Retractable Awnings in the 16200 block of Northwest 54th Avenue at 6:45 a.m. Oct. 18. The burglar also tried to enter an adjoining business by knocking a hole in a wall. The computers were valued at $1,500. Damage was estimated at $500.
A thief stole a stereo after breaking a window and damaging the dashboard in a 2003 Dodge in the 1800 block of Northwest 171st Street between 7:15 p.m. Oct. 18 and
6:15 a.m. Oct. 19. The stereo was valued at $750. Damage was estimated at $450.
