• UPPER EASTSIDE

A burglar broke into an office in the 3900 block of Northeast Second Avenue March 28.

A thief stole a city of Miami trash can from a house in the 400 block of Northeast 52nd Terrace March 20.

• LITTLE HAITI

A thief stole a woman's purse while she was in a church at the corner of Northwest 67th Street and North Miami Avenue March 18.

A burglar broke into a shed behind a house in the 4700 block of North Miami Avenue between 9 p.m. March 18 and 11 a.m. March 20.

• MODEL CITY

A thief stole a woman's wallet from her purse on a bench in the 6100 block of Northwest Ninth Avenue at 4:30 p.m. March 22.

• NORTH MIAMI

A thief stole an iPod and a purse containing identification cards, credit cards and $20 cash after breaking into a 1997 Toyota Rav4 in the 1100 block of Northeast 134th Street between 1:30 and 2 a.m. April 27. The items were valued at $500. Damage was estimated at $200.

A thief smashed a window on a 2007 Mitsubishi Galant in the 13300 block of West Dixie Highway, making off with a purse containing identification cards, credit cards and a money order for $750 between 5 and 7:30 p.m. April 26.

A thief stole a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle in the 14900 block of Royal Oaks Lane at 5:30 p.m. April 26.

Burglars broke a padlock and pried open a sliding glass door at the Farm Store, 12899 W. Dixie Hwy., making off with 30 packs of cigarettes and two boxes of cigars at 1 a.m. April 27. The items were valued at $111.

A thief stole jewelry and a GPS together valued at $1,550 after breaking a window on a 2008 Nissan Altima at the post office, 995 NW 119th St., between 8 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. April 26.

A thief made off with an iPod, a cellphone and other items together valued at $470 after punching out a door lock on a 2001 Chevrolet Impala in the 1100 block of Northeast 134th Street between 1:30 and 1:45 a.m. April 27. Damage to the car was estimated at $200.

A thief stole a purse with identification cards, credit cards, a Florida driver's license and other items after breaking into a 2007 Dodge in the 200 block of Northeast 125th Street between 5 and 5:30 p.m. April 27.

Burglars made off with a 42-inch television, a receiver, three DVD players, 50 CDs, a computer and other items together valued at $6,100 after ransacking an apartment in the 14500 block of Northeast Sixth Avenue between 10:30 a.m. and 10:15 p.m. April 27.

A thief drove away with a 1992 Mercury convertible in the 2100 block of Northeast 123rd Street between 10 p.m. April 27 and 7:30 a.m. April 28.

• NORTH MIAMI BEACH

A thief stole a GPS and MP3 player together valued at $600 after shattering a window on a 2003 Toyota Corolla in the 2100 block of Northeast 170th Street between 8 p.m. April 26 and 7 a.m. April 27.

A thief smashed a window on a 1999 Toyota Corolla in the 2100 block of Northeast 164th Street, making off with a laptop computer valued at $1,050 between 10 a.m. and 7:45 p.m. April 29.

A thief drove away with a 2006 Lexus in the 3500 block of Northeast 163rd Street between 1 and 5:45 p.m. April 29. The car was valued at $47,000.

• MIAMI SHORES

Thieves made off with two bicycles valued at $250 from a storage area at a home in the 10200 block of Northeast Second Avenue between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. March 29. The victims did not report the theft until April 28.

• BISCAYNE PARK

A thief stole a bicycle valued at $50 from the side of a house in the 1100 block of Northeast 119th Street between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. April 4.

• UNINCORPORATED MIAMI-DADE

Fire rescue workers broke a window on a 2001 Toyota Camry in the 700 block of Ives Dairy Road at 6 p.m. April 30 after a 9-month-old infant was locked inside. The baby was treated at the scene. Damage was estimated at $150.

A thief broke two windows on a 1996 Ford Taurus in the 100 block of Northwest 83rd Street at 5:45 a.m. April 29. Damage was estimated at $500.

A burglar broke a glass door at a restaurant in the 1500 block of Northeast 205th Street between 10:30 p.m. April 28 and 6:30 a.m. April 29. The intruder searched a register, which was empty. Damage was estimated at $200.

Someone broke three windows on a 1998 Dodge Intrepid in the 10000 block of Northwest Fifth Avenue at 6 p.m. April 28. Damage was estimated at $150.

A thief stole a laptop computer from a 1990 Cadillac as the owner purchased gas at the Hess station at the corner of 167th Street and North Miami Avenue at 6:15 p.m. April 28. The laptop was valued at $2,015.

• AVENTURA

Police arrested a 20-year-old woman on a charge of theft at Macy's, 19535 Biscayne Blvd., after she shoplifted a shirt valued at $39 at 3:30 p.m. May 3.

A thief stole a woman's purse with a cellphone, credit cards, sunglasses, a Social Security card and other items together valued at $756 from her baby stroller while she was distracted shopping at the Disney store, 19575 Biscayne Blvd., between 8:30 and 8:45 p.m. May 3.

Police arrested two women, ages 22 and 23, on charges of grand theft at Macy's, 19535 Biscayne Blvd., at 2 p.m. May 4. Store security saw the women take merchandise valued at $562 into a fitting room where they hid the items in a baby stroller.

Police arrested an 18-year-old woman on a charge of theft at Urban Outfitters, 19575 Biscayne Blvd., after she shoplifted two pairs of sunglasses valued at $32 at 4 p.m. May 4.
