A burglar forced open a window of an apartment in the 400 block of Northwest Ninth Street between 2 and 11:30 p.m. Oct. 10.

A burglar ransacked a house in the 1900 block of Northwest Fifth Street between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Oct. 6.

• EDGEWATER

A burglar stole a laptop computer from an apartment in the 700 block of Northeast 26th Terrace between 12:30 and 8:30 p.m. Oct. 23.

Police arrested a man on a charge of burglary after they said he broke into an apartment in the 400 block of Northeast 38th Street on Oct. 21. A witness detained the man until police arrived, according to the police report.

• LITTLE HAITI

A burglar broke into a house in the 5300 block of Northwest Third Avenue between 1 and 3 p.m. Oct. 15.

• UPPER EASTSIDE

A burglar broke into a business at 780 NE 80th St. after smashing the front door glass on Oct. 7.

• NORTH MIAMI

A vandal shattered a window of a residence in the 1000 block of Northwest 120th Street between 10:45 and 11 a.m. Nov. 1.

A thief stole an Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme from Red, White & Blue, 12640 NE Sixth Ave., between 2:30 and 3 p.m. Oct. 31.

A burglar damaged the front door and dishwasher and ransacked an apartment in the 300 block of Northeast 125th Street before making off with batteries and dirty laundry together valued at $230 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Oct. 28.

A thief stole tires and rims from a storage room at an apartment building in the 1200 block of Northeast 125th Street at 2 p.m. Oct. 30.

Burglars stole DVD sets, a dining room set, bed, PlayStation 3, sofa and 42-inch plasma TV from a residence in the 13300 block of Arch Creek Road between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Oct. 18.

• NORTH MIAMI BEACH

A thief stole a passenger seat valued at $50 after shattering a window on a 2005 Nissan Armada in the 16800 block of West Dixie Highway between 9 and 11:45 a.m. Oct. 26. Damage was estimated at $300.

A burglar entered a residence in the 16100 block of Northeast Ninth Court after crawling through a window between 8 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Oct. 26.

A thief stole six T-shirts and a duffle bag together valued at $120 after shattering a window on a 2001 Mercedes-Benz in the 200 block of Northeast 167th Street between 2:45 and 3 p.m. Oct. 26.

• MIAMI SHORES

A burglar stole a flashlight valued at $100 and went through a 2007 GMC in the 1200 block of Northeast 105th Street between 9:30 p.m. Oct. 24 and 9 a.m. Oct. 25.

A thief stole a cellphone and charger together valued at $285 from a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado in the 1500 block of Northeast 105th Street between 2:30 p.m. Oct. 24 and 9:45 a.m. Oct. 25.

A man tried to break a window on a 2008 Ford SUV in the 1300 block of Northeast 105th Street between 4:30 and 4:45 p.m. Oct. 25. The owner said she heard a loud noise outside her apartment. When she looked outside, she saw a man trying to break her car window. She yelled at the man and he ran to a waiting blue Chrysler PT Cruiser and sped away.

A thief stole an iPod and a camera together valued at $650 after smashing a window on a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe in the 1500 block of Northeast 105th Street between 5 p.m. Oct. 24 and 9:45 a.m. Oct. 25.

• UNINCORPORATED MIAMI-DADE

A thief stole a 2000 Dodge Caravan in the 18900 block of North Miami Avenue between 8:30 p.m. Oct. 20 and 5 a.m. Oct. 21.
