KINLOCH PARK AREA
Two men ransacked a trailer behind a business at 4920 NW Seventh St. at 2 a.m. Oct. 4. Surveillance video showed the men fleeing in a white Chevrolet 1500 extended cab truck with chrome side steps, according to the police report.
CORAL GABLES AREA
A thief ransacked lockers at Bally's Total Fitness, 3301 SW 22nd St., on Oct. 4. The gym has video surveillance of the theft, according to the police report.
A burglar ransacked a house in the 3400 block of Southwest 23rd Street on Oct. 2.
A thief took a purse from a house in the 3500 block of Southwest 24th Street on Oct. 1.
COCONUT GROVE
A thief grabbed a purse from an office at 3090 SW 37th Ave. on Oct. 8.
Someone tried to break into a business at 2100 SW 27th Ave. after removing the hinges from a door on Oct. 2. An employee told police that this is not the first time someone tried to break into the business.
FLAGAMI AREA
A thief stole $50 after breaking a window on a 1999 Acura Integra at the corner of 11th Street and Northwest 72nd Avenue between 12:15 and 12:30 a.m. Oct. 23. Damage was estimated at $200.
A thief tried to steal a 1986 Honda Accord in the 8800 block of West Flagler Street between 8:30 p.m. Oct. 23 and 2:15 p.m. Oct. 24. Damage to the door and ignition was estimated at $350.
A thief tried to steal a 1993 Honda Accord in the 8800 block of West Flagler Street between 8 p.m. Oct. 23 and 9:05 a.m. Oct. 24. Damage to a window and the ignition was estimated at $300.
CORAL GABLES
A burglar stole a pair of eyeglasses valued at $3,000 after breaking a front glass door at The Eyeglass Place in the 400 block of South Dixie Highway between 7 p.m. Oct. 13 and 7:45 a.m. Oct. 14.
A burglar took a Rolex watch valued at $15,000 after prying open a window at a house in the 400 block of Perugia Avenue at 8:30 p.m. Oct. 13.
A thief stole income tax returns from a 2003 Mercedes-Benz in the 700 block of Majorca Avenue between 10 p.m. Oct. 13 and 8 a.m. Oct. 14. The tax returns were valued at $100.
A burglar stole a laptop computer and a watch after breaking a window at a house in the 3200 block of Monegro Street between 9 a.m. Oct. 14 and 12:15 p.m. Oct. 16. The items were valued at $8,000. Damage was estimated at $300.
Two burglars went for a phone, pliers, a book bag, sunglasses and other items after prying open French doors at a house in the 100 block of Sarto Avenue between 12:15 and 12:30 p.m. Oct. 14. Police later arrested the two juveniles on charges after a neighbor said she confronted them after they jumped her fence in an attempt to run away. The items were valued at $181. Damage was estimated at $300.
SCHENLEY PARK AREA
A thief stole a 1996 Honda Accord in the 3000 block of Southwest 63rd Avenue between 1 and 7:15 a.m. Oct. 25.
SOUTH MIAMI
A man used a screwdriver to pry open the cabinet of the Don Pan kiosk at the Shoppes at Sunset Place, 5701 SW 72nd St., and stole $1,031 at 11 p.m. Oct. 11.
TAMIAMI PARK AREA
A thief stole a GPS after breaking a window on a 2008 Toyota in the 800 block of Southwest 104th Court between 9 p.m. Oct. 21 and 8:10 a.m. Oct. 22. The GPS was valued at $100. Damage was estimated at $200.
PINECREST
A thief smashed a window on a 2007 Infiniti in the 12600 block of Southwest 80th Avenue and stole a bag, an iPod, a computer charger and a BlackBerry together valued at $660 at 1:15 a.m. Oct. 14.
A burglar shattered the glass door of West Marine, 11735 S. Dixie Hwy., and stole several Garmin GPS devices valued at $15,350 at 10:30 p.m. Oct. 14. The burglar left behind the sledgehammer that was used to break the display cases.
A thief broke a window on a 2003 Jeep in the 8300 block of Southwest 135th Street and stole a briefcase valued at $100 between 8 and 10:45 p.m. Oct. 15. Damage was estimated at $1,000.
PALMETTO BAY
A thief collected a laptop computer, a computer case, a PSP, a camera and cologne after breaking a window on a 2009 Hyundai in the 14900 block of South Dixie Highway at 1 p.m. Oct. 18. The items were valued at $1,090. Damage was estimated at $200.
FONTAINEBLEAU
A thief stole a GPS after breaking a window on a 2007 Chevrolet Impala in the 8900 block of West Flagler Street at 12:30 a.m. Oct. 23. The GPS was valued at $350. Damage was estimated at $350.
A thief collected two pairs of glasses, a book bag, books and documents from a 2007 Mitsubishi Endeavor in the 9600 block of Fontainebleau Boulevard between 11:30 p.m. Oct. 22 and 5 a.m. Oct. 23. The items were valued at $580.
