BLUE LAGOON AREA
A burglar broke into a home in the 5000 block of Northwest Seventh Street between 2:30 and 11:45 p.m. Oct. 6.
A thief stole a GPS and sunglasses after breaking a window on a 2009 Dodge Caravan in the 5500 block of Blue Lagoon Drive between 6:30 and 10 p.m. Oct. 11. The items were valued at $380. Damage was estimated at $100.
LITTLE HAVANA
A burglar kicked in the front door of an apartment in the 1500 block of Southwest Seventh Street on Oct. 13.
A burglar broke into a house in the 3000 block of West Flagler Street after prying a door between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. Oct. 13.
A burglar broke into a house in the 900 block of Southwest Fifth Avenue between 12:30 and 2:15 p.m. Oct. 6.
EAST LITTLE HAVANA
A burglar broke into and ransacked an apartment in the 1000 block of Southwest Second Avenue between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Oct. 6.
SHENANDOAH
A burglar stole an LCD 50-inch television valued at $850 from a business at 2261 SW 22nd St. on Oct. 14.
COCONUT GROVE
Someone ransacked a house in the 3400 block of Florida Avenue on Sept. 18.
A thief stole a sail off a boat in Dinner Key Marina, 3400 Pan American Dr., on Sept. 28. Damage was estimated at $600.
FLAGAMI AREA
A thief stole two purses, a cellphone and identification card after smashing a window on a 2008 Toyota Yaris at the corner of Northwest 11th Street and 73rd Avenue between 12:15 and 1:30 a.m. Oct. 19. The items were valued at $571. Damage was estimated at $100.
A thief stole two taillights, a rear-view mirror and a side mirror after breaking a window and the dashboard on a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix in the 7200 block of West Flagler Street between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Oct. 12. The items were valued at $475. Damage was estimated at $450.
A thief stole 30 CDs and tools after breaking a window on a 2005 Scion in the 8000 block of Northwest Eighth Street between 7:30 p.m. Oct. 11 and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 12. The items were valued at $390. Damage was estimated at $150.
CORAL GABLES
A burglar stole a television and went through a drawer after opening a sliding glass door at a house in the 5500 block of Kenwood Oaks Drive at 7:45 p.m. Oct. 4. The owner's son, who was in the bathroom at the time, heard his dog barking and heard the intruder tell the dog to ``calm down.'' The boy then locked the bathroom door and crawled out the bathroom window. The television was valued at $1,800.
A thief stole two laptop computers and $1,500 after entering through an unlocked garage door of a house in the 800 block of Paradiso Avenue between 10 p.m. Oct. 4 and 8:30 a.m. Oct. 5 while the owner slept. The laptops were valued at $3,166.
Police responding to an alarm at a Sunglasses Hut in the 200 block of Miracle Mile after the front window had been shattered at 2:30 a.m. Oct. 5, arrested four men. The men, three from Miami, ages 22 and 19, and one from Hollywood, also 22, all had glass shards stuck to the bottom of their shoes. Two of the men were found running from the area when police arrived. Two others were found hiding in a 2008 Cadillac Escalade parked nearby. One of the men confessed and implicated the others, who refused to talk to police. It was not clear if anything was taken from the store.
