MIAMI BEACH
A group of gunmen wearing masks and gloves barged into an apartment at 6601 Collins Ave. and robbed a woman at 10 p.m. July 10. The victim said three to four men entered the apartment, dragged her into a room, and hit her on the head with a pistol before ransacking the place. The men took her jewelry valued at $3,000, set off fireworks inside the residence and then ran away.
A thief stole a 1990 Toyota Camry in the 1200 block of Normandy Drive between 4 p.m. July 9 and 7 p.m. July 10.
A thief stole a CD case valued at $720 and $50 in coins after smashing a window on a 2007 Kia van in the 6400 block of Collins Avenue between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. July 10.
A thief stole a city parking attendant's 'auto-cite' machine valued at $5,000 after she left it on top of the hood of a car to help a truck driver in the 8000 block of Collins Avenue between 11:30 and 11:45 p.m. July 9.
A thief stole a 1994 Saturn in the 1300 block of Meridian Avenue between 3:30 and 6 p.m. July 10.
A thief stole a GPS after breaking a door lock on a 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche in the 4600 block of Collins Avenue between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. July 10. Damage was estimated at $800.
A thief stole a digital camera valued at $1,200 after smashing a window on a 2001 Volkswagen Golf in the 100 block of Washington Avenue between 3 and 4 p.m. July 10.
A thief stole a woman's bag with an iPod valued at $300 and $25 cash while she was sleeping in the 1600 block of the beach at 10 p.m. July 9.
A thief stole a woman's purse with a camera, identification cards and two cellphones together valued at $980 at the nightclub Mansion, 1235 Washington Ave., after she left the purse on top of the stage to dance between 4 and 4:45 a.m. July 11.
A thief stole a backpack with an iPod, a wallet, sunglasses, a key chain, a driver's license and car registration documents together valued at $1,025 from a car outside Walgreens, 1845 Alton Rd., between midnight and 12:30 a.m. July 11.
SURFSIDE
A thief stole a cellphone and change from a car in the 600 block of 94th Street between 5 and 5:30 a.m. July 1.
A thief stole a bicycle valued at $200 from the backyard of a residence in the 9500 block of Carlyle Avenue between 8:30 and 9 p.m. July 8.
UPPER EASTSIDE
A burglar broke into a house in the 4200 block of Northeast Second Avenue after prying open the front door on June 17.
A thief made off with jewelry from a house in the 100 block of Northeast 49th Street between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. June 19.
A burglar broke into a house in the 7900 block of Northeast Second Avenue after forcing open the front door on June 21.
A thief ransacked the electrical room of a building in the 8300 block of Northeast First Place between 3:30 p.m. June 21 and 7:30 a.m. June 23.
WYNWOOD
A burglar kicked in the front door of a house in the 300 block of Northwest 20th Street between 8 p.m. June 20 and 8 a.m. June 24.
A thief ransacked a warehouse at 1050 NW 21st St. on June 21.
A thief ransacked a house in the 1100 block of Northwest 27th Street and removed the doors and windows on June 20.
OVERTOWN
A thief broke into a business at 119 NW 12th Ave. at 2:30 a.m. June 22. The thief was caught on surveillance tape, according to the police.
AVENTURA
Police arrested two women, both 22, on charges of theft at Macy's, 19535 Biscayne Blvd., at 7:15 p.m. July 6. Store security said they saw the women hide clothes valued at $153 in their bags.
Police arrested two women, ages 38 and 41, on charges of theft at Macy's men's store, 19545 Biscayne Blvd., after store security said they hid jewelry valued at $192 inside a bag.
A thief stole a laptop computer and bag together valued at $862 after smashing a window on a 2006 Dodge Caravan outside Aventura Mall, 19501 Biscayne Blvd., between 6:30 and 8 p.m. July 6. Damage was estimated at $300.
A thief stole a 2006 Yamaha motorcycle valued at $6,500 in the 3400 block of North Country Club Drive between 9 p.m. July 4 and 8 a.m. July 7.
Police arrested two men, ages 18 and 20, on charges of theft at Sears, 19505 Biscayne Blvd., after store security said they shoplifted three shirts and a pair of sunglasses together valued at $122 at 9 p.m. July 8.
SUNNY ISLES BEACH
Thieves stole two coconut trees and tried to uproot a third tree from the front yard of a residence in the 18900 block of Atlantic Boulevard between 9 p.m. July 3 and 9 a.m. July 4. The trees were valued at $140.
A thief stole a woman's bag containing glasses, a camera and a watch together valued at $13,500, along with $900 cash, after she left the bag on the pool deck at the Trump International Sonesta Beach Resort, 18001 Collins Ave., between 11 and 11:15 a.m. July 6.
A man stole a bottle of wine valued at $9 from the Chevron gas station, 17800 Collins Ave., at 2:15 a.m. July 9. A surveillance video recorded the man hiding the bottle underneath his shirt.
A thief stole an iPod and a Sirius satellite radio system from a 2006 BMW in the 16900 block of North Bay Road between 9:30 p.m. July 9 and 9 a.m. July 10.
A thief stole a laptop computer, an iPod and glasses together valued at $1,000 after smashing a window on a 2002 BMW in the 16900 block of North Bay Road between 6 p.m. July 9 and 9:30 a.m. July 10.
A vandal keyed the side doors on two cars, a 2000 Mitsubishi and a Chevrolet Trailblazer in the 300 block of Bayview Drive between 11:45 p.m. July 8 and 9 a.m. July 9.
A thief stole a child's bicycle from a bike rack outside the front door of a home in the 3900 block of 194th Lane between 10 a.m. June 11 and 2 p.m. June 23.
A group of thieves stole landscaping equipment from a landscaping trailer in the 18600 block of North Bay Road at 3 p.m. June 20. The owner said he was working when he saw a man running away from his trailer with his tools. The thief then jumped into a waiting green Hyundai occupied by two other men and sped away.
