MIAMI BEACH
Police arrested a 45-year-old man on a charge of theft after he stole a man's book bag with items valued at $200 while the victim was sleeping in the 200 block of the beach at 4:30 p.m. May 6.
A thief stole a GPS valued at $250 from a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu in the 4300 block of Collins Avenue between 8:45 p.m. May 5 and 2:30 p.m. May 6.
Police arrested a 17-year-old man on charges of theft and criminal mischief after he opened and drank a can of Red Bull valued at $2 without paying at CVS pharmacy, 306 Lincoln Rd., at 11:30 p.m. April 6. The man threw away the empty can behind a display.
A thief broke a lock and broke into a cash register at Prive Salon, 826 Collins Ave., making off with $300 between 8:30 p.m. May 5 and 10:30 a.m. May 6. The manager found the cash register tossed on the floor when he arrived.
A thief removed door hinges on a storage room at an apartment building at 337 20th St., making off with an air-conditioner cooler barrel and gauges between midnight and 8 a.m. May 5. A house keeper went to open the door of the storage room when it fell on top of her. The items were valued at $300.
A thief drove away with a 2004 Lexus, along with a laptop computer and a suitcase with clothes, in the 400 block of 41st Street between 11:30 p.m. May 4 and 8 a.m. May 5. The items inside the car were valued at $1,600.
A thief broke into a 2006 Dodge Charger in the 800 block of Pennsylvania Avenue between 9 p.m. May 5 and 7:45 a.m. May 6. Damage was estimated at $200.
A vandal smashed the windows and broke off the windshield wipers on a 1993 Lincoln in the 1700 block of James Avenue at 3 a.m.

SUNNY ISLES BEACH
A thief stole a man's wallet with credit cards and $600 cash after he left the wallet in his shorts and went for a swim in the 16700 block of the beach between 10 and
11 a.m. April 22.
Thieves made off with water heaters valued at $1,000 from a construction site at 17001 Collins Ave. between 10 a.m. March 1 and 8 a.m. April 17.
Burglars stole a digital camera and an LCD television together valued at $5,250 after breaking into an apartment in the 17200 block of Collins Avenue before 2 a.m.
April 20.
BAL HARBOUR
A thief stole a woman's purse with identification cards while she was in the 9600 block of the beach between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. April 27. The purse was valued at $25.
A thief stole a bracelet valued at $6,950 from a glass display case at a boutique in the Shops at Bal Harbour, 9700 Collins Ave., between 9:30 a.m. May 2 and 9:45 a.m. May 3.
A vandal smashed a window on a 2005 Ford F-150 in the parking garage at the Shops at Bal Harbour, 9700 Collins Ave., between 10:15 and 10:45 p.m. May 6. Damage was estimated at $400.
Someone stole a pair of diamond earrings valued at $5,000 from a hotel room at the Regent Bal Harbour Hotel, 10295 Collins Ave., at 2:30 p.m. March 18.
Someone stole a laptop computer valued at $1,000 from an office at 10275 Collins Ave. between 5 p.m. April 13 and 10:15 a.m. April 14.
AVENTURA
Police arrested a 20-year-old woman on a charge of theft at Macy's, 19535 Biscayne Blvd., after she shoplifted a shirt valued at $39 at 3:30 p.m. May 3.
Police arrested two women, ages 22 and 23, on charges of grand theft at Macy's, 19535 Biscayne Blvd., at 2 p.m. May 4. Store security saw the women take merchandise valued at $562 into a fitting room where they hid the items in a baby stroller.
Police arrested an 18-year-old woman on a charge of theft at Urban Outfitters, 19575 Biscayne Blvd., after she shoplifted two pairs of sunglasses valued at $32 at 4 p.m. May 4.
A thief stole a woman's purse with a cellphone, credit cards, sunglasses, a Social Security card and other items together valued at $756 from her baby stroller while she was distracted shopping at the Disney store, 19575 Biscayne Blvd., between 8:30 and 8:45 p.m. May 3.
UPPER EASTSIDE
A burglar broke into an office in the 3900 block of Northeast Second Avenue March 28.
A thief made off with a city of Miami trash can was stolen from a house in the 400 block of Northeast 52nd Terrace March 20.
LITTLE HAITI
A thief stole a woman's purse while she was in a church at the corner of Northwest 67th Street and North Miami Avenue March 18.
A burglar broke into a shed behind a house in the 4700 block of North Miami Avenue between 9 p.m. March 18 and 11 a.m. March 20.
MODEL CITY
A thief stole a woman's wallet from her purse on a bench in the 6100 block of Northwest Ninth Avenue at 4:30 p.m. March 22.
UNINCORPORATED MIAMI-DADE
Fire rescue workers broke a window on a 2001 Toyota Camry in the 700 block of Ives Dairy Road at 6 p.m. April 30 after a 9-month-old infant was locked inside. The baby was treated at the scene. Damage was estimated at $150.
A thief broke two windows on a 1996 Ford Taurus in the 100 block of Northwest 83rd Street at 5:45 a.m. April 29. Damage was estimated at $500.
A burglar broke a glass door at a restaurant in the 1500 block of Northeast 205th Street between 10:30 p.m. April 28 and 6:30 a.m. April 29. The intruder searched a register, which was empty. Damage was estimated at $200.
A thief broke three windows on a 1998 Dodge Intrepid in the 10000 block of Northwest Fifth Avenue at 6 p.m. April 28. Damage was estimated at $150.
A thief stole a laptop computer from a 1990 Cadillac as the owner purchased gas at the Hess station at the corner of 167th Street and North Miami Avenue at
6:15 p.m. April 28. The laptop was valued at $2,015.
