County holds election seminar

The Miami-Dade County Commission on Ethics and Public Trust will hold a campaign skills seminar Tuesday night at Coral Gables City Hall Commission chambers, 405 Biltmore Way, second floor.
The seminar takes place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and is free and open to the public.
According to a commission press release, ``the seminar will provide essential information to declared candidates, individuals considering running for office or anyone who needs to understand the legal and ethical obligations of seeking elective office.''
Topics covered by featured speakers will include financing campaigns, reporting and disclosure requirements, collecting and expending campaign funds and ethical campaigning.
Invited speakers include Robert Meyers, executive director of the Ethics Commission; Howard Lenard, general counsel, Miami-Dade County League of Cities; and Joe Centorino of the State Attorney's Office's Public Corruption Unit.
